Insurance cover for Chinese medicine
Private health insurance
Most private health funds cover acupuncture under extras cover, and some also cover Chinese herbal medicine consultations and herbs. The amount you get back depends on your fund and your level of cover.
We process claims on the spot using HICAPS, so you’ll pay the gap at the time of your appointment and your rebate goes straight back to your account. Bring your health fund card with you.
If you’re not sure whether your extras cover includes acupuncture or Chinese herbal medicine, check with your fund before your first visit. All of our practitioners are AHPRA-registered, which is the requirement for health fund rebates.
WorkSafe
We accept WorkSafe patients. You’ll need a referral from your treating GP or specialist, and an approved WorkSafe claim. Please bring your claim number and referral to your first appointment. You pay our standard fee and claim the approved amount back from WorkSafe.
TAC
We accept TAC (Transport Accident Commission) patients for injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents. You’ll need an approved claim and referral. As with WorkSafe, you pay our standard fee and claim back from TAC.
No referral needed for private patients
If you’re paying privately or claiming through your health fund, you don’t need a referral. You can book online directly.
