About Jackey:
Before entering his healthcare career, Jackey had 10 years of experience in customer service. He started his first job as a marketing assistant and customer support after he graduated from the University of Adelaide. Jackey says ‘Helping people is like an adrenaline injection into my spirit, it simply lights up the day ahead!’

After years of fulfilling managerial roles in customer service both in Australia and internationally in the Asia-Pacific region, Jackey decided to listen to what was deep down in him and followed his parents’ footsteps to become a pharmacist. While Jackey was studying toward a bachelor degree in pharmacy, his surgeon neighbour encouraged him to become an acupuncturist based on the usefulness of acupuncture in
pain relief for her patients.

Jackey then moved his family to Melbourne and studied the five-year double degree at RMIT University. The study has completely changed Jackey’s view of health and illness. After 5 years of pursuit, Jackey not only developed passion toward acupuncture and Chinese medicine, but also graduated from RMIT ‘With Distinction’ in Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Chinese medicine. His hard work was recognised by the Golden Key International Honour Society, and was invited to joint the society in 2018.

Jackey’s experience in people skills enables high quality care to patients. Jackey believes that the level of respect, understanding, caring and empathy perceived by patients is very important for their recovery because it provides positive emotional benefits to promote better health outcomes.

Jackey has a strong interest in using acupuncture to help cancer patients alleviate digestive, sleeping, dermatological and emotional discomforts. He is currently pursuing online continuing education to learn about the clinical use of acupuncture in integrative cancer care.

Jackey is a believer and learner of Qi Gong and Tai Chi and he encourages his patients to practise simple and easy Qi Gong every day to witness the benefits of Qi Gong in promoting body and mind balance.
